Lakeland Jr/Sr High School Spelling Bee
Eighth-grader Jakob Crisp (pictured left) was the School Champion. Jakob won in the 25th round, spelling "salamanders” as the championship word. He will represent Lakeland in the County Spelling Bee held at Prairie Heights on January 15 at 4:30. Eighth-grader Spencer Johnson (pictured right) was the Runner-Up.
On Wednesday, January 8, 2020, Lakeland Jr/Sr High School held its 7th and 8th grade School Spelling Bee. Twenty-four contestants competed in the bee.
